6th Grade Wildcats Win FTG Winter Explosion I Tournament
Building off two wins in their final 2 games at the Midwest Invitational (12/28-12/29), the 6th grade Wildcats won 5 straight games in Libertyville to take first place, beating the Kenosha Sky in the championship game 42-5. The 5 wins were highlighted by a stunning defensive effort and scoring from every girl on the roster. Before the Wildcats took the championship, they rattled off 4 other wins by scores of: 43-9, 48-11, 53-3 and 46-11. The 6th grade season record now stands at 7-3, with a current win streak of 7 games. The girls will take next weekend off and then take to the court again in two weeks in Deerfield at the Joy of the Game – Girls’ January Jamboree (1/18 – 1/20). Schedules will be posted soon.
