South Suburban Wildcats of Lincoln-Way: My Site News: Meeting Recap and Next Steps (Registering with the AAU)
Meeting Recap and Next Steps (Registering with the AAU)
We had a successful meeting on Sunday, October 21st. The 6th grade team was well represented and it looks like we'll have a very solid team. The 5th grade team was represented by Jessica and Annie, but I know several other girls wanted to join us.
Let's recap the meeting:
- We've narrowed the colors down to purple, green, pink (with a pretty kitty logo - not likely to happen), or orange. We'll need to decide soon.
- The logo design will follow that of the Walker team. Coach Wayne is following up to see if we can secure the logo file.
- We are looking into securing gym time at local gyms.
- All girls participating on the 5th grade team will also be part of the Oaks league, but none of the 6th graders have signed up for the Oaks league. This will allow the 6th grade to pursue additional tournament dates and individual games.
- Everyone is encouraged to attend the Hilda Walker vs. MJHS game to cheer on our Hilda Walker girls. Go Wildcats!! The game is at 4:00 pm at MJHS on Tuesday, October 30, 2007.
Next Steps:
Each girl must be registered with the AAU. One last note. I will be handling the 4 and 5 year old little dunker program on Saturday mornings 9:00am - 11:00am at the Oaks. If you know any kids looking to learn the basics, pass the word that the program should be better this year.
