South Charleston LL: Policies & Procedures
Wednesday, April 15Policies & Procedures
Game & Facility Rules
- We encourage your entire family to attend games and to cheer for your teams.
- Please remind younger family members that it is not safe for them to put their fingers in the chain link fence. Thrown or pitched balls hit the fence and hurt little fingers quickly.
- Fans are not permitted to stand directly behind the batters' box at any time. This is distracting to the batter, catcher and pitcher.
- No smoking is permitted within 20 feet of the concession stands or team dug outs. This is a SCLL rule and could be different if your team travels to a different field to play.
- Please do not allow young children to ride bicycles, scooters, or skateboards near the parking lots. SCLL cannot assume responsibility for injuries that happen in parking lots to family members of our players.
Player Accidents/Injuries
The first person players and parents will work with is the Team Manager or Coach in charge for that game. They will fill out an Accident/Injury Form and forward it to one of the SCLL Board Members on the same day of the incident occurring. In the event a player is taken for medical attention, the player's family insurance will be billed first. If the first insurance does not pay, SCLL's insurance will then take over. Please check with your insurance company quickly because we have a 20 day time period in which to begin the process with the Little League Insurance Company. In the event that you do not have insurance, the Little League policy will cover the injury. If a player requires medical attention or hospitalization, it is the parent's responsibility to obtain a doctor's release before the player can return to play in games. Please give this form to your Team Manager who will in turn forward it to one of the SCLL Board Members.

Concession
Concession Stands
Each family will be asked to work in the concession stand when his or her child is playing ball. Thanks in advance for participating. Funds from the concession stand help the league to fund our programs. Because the concession stands have deep fryers and other electrical equipment, all concession stand workers must be at least 14 years of age or older. Please do not allow younger family members to visit you while working. Your child's Team Manager/Coach will assign parents concession duty once he/she has a game schedule.
