"We will earn our victories with honor. We will not cheat, nor exploit an athlete to achieve a victory. If we lose, we will lose with dignity, knowing that we played our best and gave our all. We will always respect our opponent, knowing that they, too, are striving for victory. Each individual involved is responsible to become all that she can become. We will constantly challenge players to achieve, improve, progress and learn. Step up to the plate, accept the commitment to become the best that you can possibly be..." Florida - BOMBERS Headed to Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex to Compete in the USSSA World Series!

The BOMBERS rolled to five consecutive wins over teams from Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, Illinois and Texas. At this point in the tournament the BOMBERS were one of only two remaining teams unbeaten. The two unbeaten teams met head on in a highly contested battle with the BOMBERS representing the West Coast and a team from Florida representing the East Coast. Both teams battled two and fro late into the contest with the score deadlocked at 1-1. Florida managed to push over the deciding runs in the last inning and went on to win the USSSA Championship. A great week for the lady BOMBERS and the staff is looking forward to seeing you ladies after our break!

Welcome To BOMBERS Fastpitch Softball

This is to introduce us to you. We are the South Bay BOMBERS. The BOMBERS Team is in its 12th season and registered with ASA, AFA, TCS and USSSA. We are a non-profit organization formed to provide girls from ages 14-15 with an interest in softball as a sport a chance to develop their physical skills and talents. Our specific purpose is to provide activities and educational programs to girls. We learn the importance of teamwork, ambition and fitness. Our activities include softball tournaments, friendly games and team practices which bring together girls from different areas and cultural groups. Tournament competition at the highest level encourages players to test their competitive skills and at the same time meet girls that hold similar interests. We have enjoyed many victories and championships over the years. After taking this program through 18U as players and coaches our staff is excited to advance to our third year together. One of the requirements to play for the BOMBERS is to maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or better which is higher than the required 2.0 or better by C.I.F. regulations for all high school sports. Scholastic achievement is highly encouraged and girls with grade point averages of 3.0 or better at the end of each year will be recognized at our annual Christmas Banquet. On behalf of the girls, coaches and parents of the BOMBERS Girls Fastpitch Softball Team we would like to thank you for looking into our website.

For the love of the game,

Robert Whitney - Manager, Danielle Whitney - Head Coach, Desiree Whitney - Assistant Coach, and Marc Schenasi - Assistant Coach

BOMBERS - 2001!

Friday, December 15

"It is not the critic who counts, not the girl who points out how the strong girl stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the one who is actually in the arena; who errs and comes short again and again; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends herself in a worthy course; who at best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who, at worst, if she fails, at least fails daring greatly; so that her place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory or defeat."

Eight Little Two-letter & One Little Four-letter Words

bang.gif.gif.gif

If It Is To Be It Will Be ME! Do you believe fear (which is faith in reverse) is a major reason for not using our talents? Many people don't understand that failure is an event and not a person, so they decide to play it safe and not do anything at all. Then they will not have failed because they never tried.

Some of the saddest words you'll ever hear are "what might have been." Will you look back on life and say, 'I wish I had' or 'I'm glad I did?' Following these success principles will make it possible for you to look back one day and say, "I'm glad I did." You do have a choice.
