MISSION STATEMENT
We are a 10U team providing a strong solid foundation for the future of our players. Our coaching staff is built of experienced and knowledgeable coached that know the game and understand that our girl's future is our priority. We strive to teach our girls the basic fundamentals of the game first, along with maintaining the teaching and supporting of sportmanship, character, and the love and respect for the game. Our goal is to keep and maintain this group of solid girls and mold them into future high caliber 18U Gold Players. We aim to build our girls with the understanding of the importance of education and to strive for success in their future in high school and college.
EDUCATION
It has always been a long standing policy that in order to play on a SoCal Wicked team, the player must maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue their eligibilty. As a young group, we need to follow the guildelines put into place for our older "sisters". Report cards will need to be provided quarterly. As Dave Limon, SoCal Wicked Founder, says "This is very important information for getting the college scouts to come see us".
SOCAL WICKED ORGANIZATION
SoCal Wicked, a class "A" & now, 18U GOLD, fastpitch softball organization is based out of La Harba, California. The organization consists of seven teams, which are members of the Amature Softball Association (ASA) & USA Softball. SoCal Wicked was founded in 2003 with just one team. Our goal is to teach fundamental softball to those players that wanted to excel. By the end of our 3rd season, we had grown to 5 teams in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U divisions. As of 2006, we have qualified for a combined total of 24 National events.
For the 2009 Spring season, we have teams in the following age groups: 10U, 12U,14U, 16U & 18U. Our older, successful teams are providing college exposure& name recognition to So Cal Wicked, as many of our girls have been scouted by top colleges around the country. We work hard to provide our players with a knowledgeable foundation of softball skills, while allowing their love of the game to grow. Our goal is to prepare our student athletes to prepare our student athletes for college-level play.
