Hello Skip Its! This is Susahnn down in the desert! I can't wait to move up to colorado in January. And of course I can't wait to start jumping with you all. I hope the rest of your summers were awesome and that school is treating everyone okay. Shoot me over an email and let me know what is going on with all of you!

I stumbled across this website in a roundabout way. I was on my alma mater, Taylor University's, website and saw that they were hosting a jump rope camp. So then I went to the USA Jump Rope site and saw the link for your site.
I was an Indiana Thump Jumper in the mid-80s-90s and attended IRSO camp at UNC twice. I have fond memories of trying to secure a coveted "Skip It" pin as well as being an "Official Camp Hugger" and getting a t-shirt. And how could I forget being part of the Guiness World Record in which I believe Mr. C turned that huge rope? (Does that record still stand?) Never would I have imagined then that 15 years later I would end up living in Colorado! Glad to see that the Skip Its are still going strong and so is Mr. C. Whenever I see a jump rope event on TV I always brag to those around "I used to do that"!. I'd have a hard time doing much now as I'm 7 months pregnant, but I would love to see my child(ren?) try it...maybe we could even get a Skip-It auxiliary team here in Douglas County!
I'll check in on your site regularly so maybe I could catch a performance some day.
In the meantime, keep Jumpin'!

Georgie Girl
Hello there! I met the Skip Its when I was 9, back in 1993!! Richard Cendali brought the team over to England to coach the Blue and White Rope Skippers, coached by Roger Smithies at the time. I still have the 'No Fear' tshirt I won in one of the class competitions, and still wear it now and then for all its retro glory :) I remember being so jealous of the track suits the Skip Its wore. Ha ha. It's lovely to see how much the team's changed, but even lovelier to see that Richard is still coaching. Have a nice day!

Georgie Lord, England.

Hi SkipIts, especially Mr. C!
I was a SkipIt in the early Eighties (Sander was my last name then...), then moved to Germany. Pretty cool to be able to see what you're up to these days! I'm impressed.
Thanks so much for all the fun times and everything kids can learn while being a SkipIt! I really loved Douglass Elementary and jump roping!!! I just started teaching a group of girls how to double dutch - they're really excited. I would love to see you in Germany again some day...!
