Skagit Valley Thunder: Welcome
|
Welcome to the Thunder!
Founded in 2007 the Thunder organization strives to provide a quality softball experience for our players both in the instruction that they receive as well as providing positive life lessons.
Our mission is to develop fundamentally sound and competitive softball players wanting to be challenged. All Thunder teams train based on a skill development manual created and honed with the input of collegiate coaches, past collegiate players as well as insights provided by our coaches. Players are encouraged to further their skill development by participating with private instructors as well as guest instructors brought in by the organization. We utilize Quality Control Instructors who visit and participate at team practices to assure that our teams and coaching staff’s stay on course and provide the best player skill development possible.
Ultimately we would like to see our players go on and participate at the collegiate level. To better facilitate this goal our teams travel and participate throughout the west.
To help lessen the financial burden associate with travel softball we have 501(c)(3) non-profit status which allows members to fundraise to off-set their season costs. Those not wanting to fundraise simply pay season fees.
The entire Thunder organization has a strong commitment to playing competitive softball. As we say, "Go Hard or Go Home!"
If you are interested in joining the Thunder organization as a player or coach please contact the Thunder Director.
