Simi Valley Little League Baseball: Spring Divisions

Challengers
The Challenger Division was established in 1989 as a separate division of Little League to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide.

Tee Ball
Tee Ball Baseball is for boys and girls 4-6 years old (4-6 allowed based on ability) who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork.

Farm - Coach Pitch
Coach Pitch is for boys and girls 6-7 years old (6 year olds permitted with one year of Tee ball)

Farm - Kid Pitch
Farm is for boys and girls 7-8 years old (7-9 allowed based on ability)

Major / Minor
Major is for boys and girls ages 9-12 The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

Junior
The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 13-15, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.
