Sunday, March 29Rude Pac wins Silverhawks Invitational...
Rude Pac takes the title behind the right arm of Ed Gasper. A solo home run off the bat of Stevie Garcia was all the offense that Gasper and the Rude Pac needed to cruise to the finish. Garcia hit a 1-0 change up in the bottom of the second off Sonny Perkins giving Rude Pac a 1-0 lead. That is all Gasper would need as he crafted his way threw the West Bishop Niners' lineup. The Niners' had their opportunity to score in the top of the seventh when Aaron Dondero led off the inning with a single, followed by a double by Sonny Perkins. Dondero was cut down at the plate trying to score from first, and Gasper retired the next two batters leaving the tying run on second base.
Congratulations goes out the Rude Pac as they walked away with a $500.00 check for their efforts.
The Silverhawks would like to thank all teams that competed at this years Silverhawks Invitational, as you helped us in our goal of making this tournament one of the premier tournaments in California, and we welcome you back as we continue to grow the tournament in future years.
