The SilverStrikers will take on the Colorado Rumble on the Park City High Lady Miners Field at 1:00, Thursday.
ALL STAR NIGHT - Aundrea Hargroder (Park City) and Rachel Rehfield (North Summit will participate in All Star Games, Thursday evening at Quinn's Junction starting at 6:00p. Also, Brittney Stokes (North Summit) was ranked 1st in the Skills Contest Speed Throw (16B's) and will compete in the Skills Finals prior to the All Star games. Should be there by 5:00 to witness all the action
Wednesday was a tough day for the Strikers as they ran into (2) solid ballclubs from Scottsdale, AZ and Colorado. They did play hard and our definitely growing as a team everyday. And now is when the tournament really gets going as bracket play starts tomorrow
Strikers WIN Triple Crown Opener 8-6 over the Ft Collins Stars. Fighting against defensive woes, the SSS overcame 10 errors with an impressive 4th inning to secure Summit County's 1st Ever Triple Crown victory.
In their 2nd Game they battled a very good Idaho Diamond Bandits team coming out on the losing end 3-2. There were SSS highlights however -- Ciera Figge played an outstanding SS, Sydney Gibbs was impressive in the circle again and Aundrea Hargroder drilled a fastball over the left-center fence for the 1st Silver Striker Homerun in Tournament Play History, it was her 2nd on the season.
