The Louisiana Sports Writers Association selected Spencer Petree (Senior) as a 1st team All-State first baseman.  There is no 2nd team but they do select Honorable Mention.  Andrew Murphy (Junior) and Casey Elkins (Senior) were selected as Honorable Mention.   

The Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association (LBCA) also selects an All-State team and Spencer Petree made the team.  The LBCA does not select 2nd team or Honorable Mention.

Congratulations to Captain Shreve first baseman Spencer Petree as he was selected to participate in the 2009 Louisiana High School All Star Game to be held May 30 at Bringhurst Park in Alexandria, LA.

Casey Elkins was recently selected as an All-City Utility baseball player by the Shreveport Times.   Casey both pitched and played in the outfield for Captain Shreve this last baseball season.

Catcher Andrew Murphy, 2nd Baseman Ty Clark, and 1st Baseman Spencer Petree were selected as Honorable Mention All-City baseball players by the Shreveport Times.
