The end of the season picnic is this Saturday (7/18). The Minor division will have their championship game that day with the picnic to follow. Trophies and pictures will be distributed at the picnic. See ya' there...

6/19 (12:22 pm) - We are hoping to get the Majors games for tonight in between the rain storms. Coaches will make the final decision between 4-4:30pm. We'll try to have the website updated by 4:30pm.

May 30th is picture day at Sheridan Park for the Softball & Baseball leagues. Your coach should have your form. Please get a form from your coach and fill it out prior to picture day. Picture times are as follows:

Coaches/Parents Training
Tonight is the final Coaches/Parents training event. Coach Dee has his pitching coach, Mike Nall, coming to provide pitching instruction and Sean McDermott to provide instruction on conducting practices at our fields.

Coach Dee is in his 10th Season at UIC and is a 7x Horizon League Coach of the Year. He has over 300 wins under his belt as he has rebuilt the Flames baseball program to be serious NCAA contenders. Coach Dee is excited about investing his time and attention into us as parents & coaches. We will truly be privileged to sit under his instruction.

Fundraiser - White Sox Game - 6/17
Our league is holding its second annual fundraiser. We have purchased tickets to attend the June 17, 2008 Chicago White Sox game vs. the Pittsburg Pirates. This should be an exciting outing. As our league continues to grow, we have sport equipment need, field maintenance upgrades, coach umpire training, and building needs such as equipment sheds. As the Sox attempt to regain that World Championship form, you can help improve league. Tickets will be $20 and the seats are located in sections 538, 540, and 542. Checks can be made out to the Sheridan Park Advisory Council. A division representative should be contacting you shortly and will be available next week to start selling tickets.

The 2009 Baseball/Softball season has wrapped up. We hope you have enjoyed it. Please remember the league is ran by volunteers - be thinking about how you can help out next year (i.e. registration, coach, assistant coach, picnic, fund raising, etc).
