Runner Ups!!!!

Way to go Sharks. In a day that started at 8AM at Cowart for the Kudzu Classic. We had a 6 hour delay and went straight to bracket play winning our 1st game and then taking on the Phoenix. We beat them to be undefeated going into the Championship game. We faced the Phoenix again and fell short, but Coaches and parents are sooo proud of the girls and the way they fought and played with heart. At 11:45 PM the girls were awarded their 1st trophy of the season for their 2nd place finish. Special thanks to JoJo for playing with us!!!!

Sharks Meet Danielle Lawrie
Saturday night our girls had the time of their lives. We went to the Huntsville Stars game for some fellowship and bonding and got a huge bonus. As we were in the lobby waiting on everyone to get there in walked Washington pitcher, Danielle Lawrie and her father.
Her brother Brett has just been called up to play with the Stars. She invited the girls to come sit with her. She gave "Radio" the headband that she wore throughout the World Series and after throwing out the 1st pitch, she gave "Peach" the ball. After the game the girls ran down to the field to help pick up the tennis balls from the giveaway game. Danielle started throwing tennis balls down to them and they had a ball trying to catch them.  Lilly also won her age group for the Punt, Pass & Kick competition.
Stars ticket........ $6.00
Concessions...... $40.00
Meeting Danielle Lawrie...... PRICELESS

Sharks Bring It Home!
On a day that started off with a promise of rain and storms that pushed the games back 5 hours, the Sharks started off with a loss in the 1st pool game. The girls had a 1 game break and then started a 4 game run(back to back)  to end with a victory in the Championship game. The girls fought hard and every one of them played with determination and Heart.
"SHARK BAIT HOO HA HA"

Sharks enjoyed a day with the Alabama softball team Saturday as Peach celebrated her 11th birthday with the Tide and got this picture with Brittany Rogers before the game. The girls also got to take the field with their favorite player after team introductions and Peach and K.K. were batgirls for the day. The tide swept both games against Miss. State and we all had a blast.

 SHARKS '98 TAKE THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!

Ladies, ladies, ladies we are soooo proud of each and everyone of you. It was a long day at the Sportsplex, 15 1/2 hours to be exact. In only your 2nd tourney, 7 weeks after the formation of this awesome team you showed what an outstanding group of girls you are. We started the day at 8:00 warming up in d rizzling weather for our 1st game at 9:00.  With Tay Tay and KK not able to join us for the 1st 3 games, a huge thanks to Sydnee for playing in the 1st 2 games and Addison for sticking it out all day. You 2 ladies helped us tremendously, because we would not have been able to play without you . We love you both and THANKS!! We won the 1st game against the Sparks and lost the 2nd against America's Best to finsh pool at 1-1 and be seeded 2nd in our bracket.  Bracket play started with a victory over the Stingerz. Our 2nd game against the Hot Shots was the game to watch. We fought back from a 2-0 deficit to take it to an international tie-breaker where we scored 1 and held off the Hot Shots to win 3-2 and get into the Championship game against the Sparks. We jumped out on them 4-0 and ended up holding them off to take the trophy with a 5-3 victory at 11:30 PM. It was a day filled with awesome pitching, outstanding defense and hot bats. Each and every Shark contributed to this and all that is left to say is "GO SHARKS"
