Seven Hills Sports Programs: What's Important?
COMMUNITY, COOPERATION, SPORTSMANSHIP & FUNAll the Seven Hills sports and recreation programs promote community, sportsmanship, cooperation and fun. It is the responsibility of every parent, coach, official, volunteer and player to work in cooperation to ensure the objectives of our community recreation and sports programs are focused on players having fun and displaying good sportsmanship at all times.
Parents Pledge
I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in Seven Hills sports programs. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game and practice. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of all children ahead of any personal desire to win. I will demand a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free sports environment for my child and agree to assist by refraining from their use at all games and practices. I will remember that the game is for the children and not for the adults. I will do my best to ensure that playing sports is fun for my child and I will instruct my child to treat other players, coaches and officials with respect so they too, may experience the fun of playing the game.
I understand that there is a place and a job for everyone in each program and I know that the burden of operating the programs should not fall on a few. The parent who shirks this responsibility cannot, in turn, expect others to assume the burden.
