| Selden Centereach Little League |
| Please Help Us Complete Our Little League Complex |
 Hi and welcome to the Selden-Centereach Little League. We are a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer organization which has no meaningful source of income. The fees we collect during registration go fully towards uniforms, equipment, umpires and insurance.
A few years ago, we had the opportunity to secure a nice 20 acre piece of property from our local municipality to build a Little League Complex. We do not own the land, we lease it at a very attractive rate. It is ours to use as long as we maintain the site and any improvements we make to it. Our Board of Directors may have been a little over-zealous in thinking that, through small donations and volunteer labor, that we could make this project bear fruit. We were not totally correct in our assumptions. We've made great strides but it gets increasingly harder to meet our goals and deadlines without funding.
This is why our league has set up this donation page. Through thoughtful donations from kindhearted people like yourselves, we will be able to accompish our goals and turn this barron land into a beautiful baseball complex.
Instead of driving a few bulldozers in and leveling everything green, we decided to create more of a park-like atmosphere. Still standing are many beautiful trees and shrubs, particularly the scrub pines that are so important to our ecology in this area. We've dedicated a number of areas to be left untouched and used as picnic grounds and nature trails.
Our vision is grand but our purses are bare and we've come to you for help. If you feel that you'd like to be a part of something that will be an asset to the children of this and future generations, here in the hamlets of Selden and Centereach on Long Island, NY, please donate as little or as much as you can afford. Every penny counts!

2010 REGISTRATION HAS BEGUN
Go to the 'documents' section to download the new 2010 Registration form. Online Registration Is also now open!! NOTE: Registration WILL go up after December 31st, 2009. Register EARLY to avoid a $20 increase in price!!
Please note that we can ALWAYS use more volunteers! Positions for Managers, Coaches, Team Moms, Field workers, Committee members or just general helping out are available. Help make a difference in our children's lives. Give back to your community! Check our Documents section for a Volunteer Form, print it, fill it out and send it in!
CHAMPIONS!!!
Our Senior Williamsport Team has been on a tear, cutting through the Williamsport Tournament in grand fashion, first by winning the District 35 Championship and then the Section 6 Championship. Now this past weekend they won their first game over Section 2 (Fulton county) and are advancing to the NY State Championship Game.
Tyler Hirt has been fantastic in center field and running the bases and was the Game MVP for the last win. The boys have been hitting up a storm with Josh Johnston putting one off the top of the left field fence (330') for a triple and Thomas Gilestro hitting a game winning double to drive in two runs in a 7 - 5 win. All the boys are doing great and representing SCLL proudly.
More to come on their progress as the team forges forward and looks to advance to the Senior Division World Series in Bangor, Maine.

Welcome to the SELDEN-CENTEREACH LITTLE LEAGUE website. This site is for the enjoyment of our members and their parents. Our goal is an ambitious but important one.......to teach our children how to be GOOD CITIZENS. Of course, we're also here to teach them the fundamentals of the game of baseball....that's the easy part. In this day and age, providing our children with a quality activity and a wholesome environment in which to learn is the difficult part but the leaders of the Selden-Centereach Little League have done just that. They've committed themselves to your children.
There will be many exciting things going on in 2010 so visit this site often to stay informed.
