Welcome to Seguin Youth Soccer Club

Fall recreational registration is now open for players born between 2002-2013 .  Registration is $70 and includes a jersey, shorts and socks.  Practices will begin the week of August 29th and games will begin on September 10th and end October 29th.  Practices are once a week and usually held on Tuesdays or Thursdays, depending on the coach.  Games are played at Park West.  The season will consist of 8 weeks of games.  Registration is open through July 31st.  After July 31st, there will be a $10 later registration fee and applications will only be accepted if there is room on a team.  Click here to register.  Manual registration forms can be picked up from the Little Free Library, located at 802 N. King St, Seguin.

Please call 830-660-3610 or email with any questions.

Spaces are limited for our Summer Soccer camps and they have been filling up quickly.  We use fun games and drills to improve our player's individual and team skills.  Sessions are split into 2 separate weeks and players with birthdates between 2009-2012 have two options for attending camp.  The cost is $65 and will be held at Park West.  Each session will have one coach and one assistant coach, so group sizes are limited.  Here is what is left for each group.

The Seguin Youth Soccer Club is announcing a new name and logo for the teams that play at the “competitive” level. These teams play within the Alamo Area Youth soccer teams that range from Boerne to Flatonia to include all of the San Antonio teams.

Fifteen years ago you would have heard the name “Seguin Sidekicks” for the traveling teams from Seguin Youth Soccer.  The SYSC Board, with the help of Dr. Bob Stephens, who is a coach for one of the teams, updated the name and logo to “FC Seguin”.  “FC” is a traditional title that stands for Football Club.  And although our players have come from as far as Stockdale, Nixon- Smiley and LaVernia, we still chose to focus our name on the City of Seguin since that is where we were founded.  In fact, current City Councilman Nick Carillo was on one of the original boards that created SYSC, along with other great volunteers.

The change reflects the growth in soccer in Seguin, especially at the competitive level.  Our teams start at the recreational level, or Division III, and at the competitive level, or Division II.  SYSC has four traveling teams this year as compared to two last year. And as an added bonus, all four teams made it to the first round of the Championship playoffs due to their Fall 2011 season schedule.

The soccer classifications represent an age group; so for example, our oldest team is an Under 19 team made up of 18 and 17 year olds.  Our other teams are a u/16, u/13 and u/11 teams that all made it to the first round of playoffs! This is representative the commitment made by the coaches, players and families to play soccer at a higher level.  The two younger teams played in the Division III recreation league while the two older teams are playing Division II competitive soccer.

We are grateful that the growth of recreational soccer here in Seguin has allowed us to support these older competitive teams in a way that positively represent SYSC and the City of Seguin.
