RIX 'N RICH PIX FOR WEEK FIVE
Kingston WR Nashwan Hoffman
Kingston WR Nashwan Hoffman

Well we've finally heard from up Canada way. Rick Stone has attended a reunion with his old CFL buddies and has sent us his weekly prognostications sans analysis. So here are RIX PIX: NEWBURGH over Middletown ... MONROE-WOODBURY over Valley Central ... MINISINK VALLEY over FDR ...  BAINBRIDGE over LMR ... MARLBORO over O'Neill ... ELLENVILLE over Liberty ... WARWICK over Washingtonville ... MILLBROOK over Tri-Valley ... BURKE over New Paltz ... ELDRED over Onteora ... CHESTER over Spackenkill ... WALLKILL over Saugerties ... PORT JERVIS over Goshen ... KINGSTON over Pine Bush ... SULLIVAN WEST over Pine Plains ... HIGHLAND over Red Hook.

Batting second is RICH ARNOTT (I love writing about myself in the third person): NEWBURGH over Middletown - Barry Surrett has been amazing and the Middies could have a problem with the potent NFA offense ... MONROE-WOODBURY over Valley Central - State-ranked #1 AA M-W will get coach Pat D'Aliso his 194th win to tie him with Joe Viglione for Section Nine coaches who have the most victories ... MINISINK VALLEY over FDR - The Warriors will notch a second AA-II win and prepare for big upcoming league challenges against Valley Central and Warwick ... BAINBRIDGE over LMR - But the Devilcats may have something up their sleeve for this one ... O'NEILL over Marlboro - Aaron Kilner is due to have a breakout game after a frustrating two-point loss last week ... ELLENVILLE over Liberty - #12 state-ranked Class C Ellenville isn't likely to let down after the big win over Sully West ... WARWICK over Washingtonville - Don Clark's Wizards spoiled the Wildcat Homecoming back in 2003 and now they're back to try to do it again ... MILLBROOK over Tri-Valley - I'm sure Coach John Rusin's Bears will promise to tighten up defensively but the Blazers may still be a bit too difficult to stop ... BURKE over New Paltz - the Huguenots pulled off an upset against O'Neill a week ago and could turn the trick again if the Eagles don't soar highly enough ... ELDRED over Onteora - #5 state-ranked Class D Eldred goes up two classes this week against independent B Onteora ... CHESTER over Spackenkill - Matt Balzano takes his aerial attack across the Hudson ... WALLKILL over Saugerties - The Sawyers enjoy playing the role of underdog against the overcat Panthers in Mum Bowl 2009 ... PORT JERVIS over Goshen - The Raiders have had funny things happen to them at Gustafson Field over the years so they'll have to grind this one out ... KINGSTON over Pine Bush - The Tigers have a good running/passing blend with QB Jimmy DeCicco and this may keep the Bushmen a bit off balance ... SULLIVAN WEST over Pine Plains - This week the Bulldogs get back their bark, bite, and appetite ... HIGHLAND over Red Hook - #7 state-ranked Class B Highland should control this one on their home field.

GIB TESPU'S doctors have determined him sane enough to rejoin the Section Nine community. As far as how that affects this site, stay tuned ,,,
