INSIDE INFO:  (1) Disappointed by the team's lackluster performance in its week one 7-6 loss to Saugerties, the Port Jervis coaching staff decided to go live during practice and hit - hit - hit to get ready for Middletown.  That probably hadn't been done since the legendary Al Chase roamed the practice field at Port.  Seriously, full-contact practices are always a bit of a gamble; but our insider told us, "Port was a team with a purpose Friday" and credited the week of hard practice.  Consequently, the Red Raiders regained possession of the Erie Bell.  This week PJ will be idle since it had been scheduled to play at Rondout Valley which canned its varsity season. ...
