SECTION NINE FOOTBALL ALIGNMENT CHANGES FOR 2017

According to @SectionIXSports, Roosevelt goes to Class A from AA-II ...  New Paltz goes to Class A from B-I ... Pine Plains joins Class C from B-II ... Millbrook goes to Class D from C, while newly added Onteora steps back to Class C and Eldred jumps back to Class D.

Unofficially, we could speculate now that Class AA reverting back to nine teams may or may not change the playoff setup ... Class A has gained Roosevelt and New Paltz - but lost Poughkeepsie to Section One. So Class A will have eight teams, possibly divided up into two divisions once again ... Class B loses New Paltz from B-I and Pine Plains from B-II, leaving those divisions with four and five teams, respectively. Class C gains Pine Plains and Onteora - but loses Millbrook. So the division now will show seven teams ... Class D will actually have a league again in 2017, with Millbrook and Eldred joining Roscoe/Downsville/Livingston Manor.
