NYSPHSAA RETAINS FIVE CLASSIFICATIONS FOR FOOTBALL

As per a December 3rd vote, The Championship Philosophy Committee has elected to stay with the current five classifications for football (AA, A, B, C, D). The proposed AAA classification is on hold, most likely for at least the 2016 season.

BRETT JENNINGS of Valley Central has made the SNF career field goal list with a total of 16. 

GRANT HARMON of Liberty has made a spot in the SNF Record Book with 26 TD passes in 2015.

RINO TAMBURRI of Marlboro has made a spot in the SNF Record Book rushing yards per season category.

BRENDEN O'FLAHERTY of Cornwall has made two categories in the SNF Record Book with 909 receiving yards and 52 receptions in 2015. 

 Place-kickers NICK MONGELLI of Marlboro and MATT LAWRENCE of Cornwall have made the "Record Book" PAT list for their 2015 performances.

GARNETT NICOLAS of Burke rushed for SIX touchdowns in the Class B playoff vs. Rondout.

Congratulations to coach RON STOVER of Chester for winning his 100th game with the Hambletonians!

JUSTIN BAILEY of Cornwall has made the SNF "TD Passes Thrown (Career)" list with 57 total over the past three seasons, ranking him 3rd all-time amongst SNF quarterbacks. He completes his career accumulating 4,606 passing yards, 4th-best all-time in SNF.

 KENNY GRAY of Valley Central finishes his career with 5,276 passing yards - the most ever by a Class AA SNF QB and second all-time in the section. He threw for 50 touchdown passes, which ties him for 5th place all-time amongst SNF quarterbacks.

JACK PISCITELLI of Port Jervis scored FOUR defensive touchdowns against Monticello on 9/26 which will stand as this site's SNF record in a newly created category in our "Section Nine Record Book" link. This also sets a NY state record.
