Seattle Central Little League: Girls Fastpitch Softball!!!

Skills practice will not take place tonight 3/6 due to rain, however, please still come if you need to register, turn in forms, or discuss skill level and division for your player.

Thursday, 3/7/13 will be an optional pitching and catcher's practice at Madrona K8 gym, RSVP to jon_hughes@live.com

Final rosters will be announced no later then Sunday 3/10/13.

All Softball players should attend one of the skills days in early March!  This will help us determine the best placement for their skill level (coach pitch, minors, majors, juniors).  It is also a great way to get introduced to the game.  So if you have not signed up, please show up and have some fun with us!

We are excited to continue offering fun fastpitch softball programs for all girls ages 8-14!  Last year was our biggest year ever!  Over over 140 girls particapted in our fastpitch program!  Our divisions of play include:

Minors Softball (ages 8-11, as of December 31):  Kids learn the fundamentals of softball and have a blast!  We play most games in the Central Area of Seattle!  1-2 games per week!  Starts out with a modified kid pitch / coach pitch rule, then tapers off to all kid-pitch.  We bring experienced players (high school, college, select teams) to help mentor the kids!  TONS OF FUN!!!

Majors Softball (ages 10-12):  Kids built on what they have learned at the minors level.  New to the sport, you can still play at majors, we encourage all kids to play (there are absoluletly no tryouts, everyone plays equally!).  At Majors level the kids are playing other little league teams in various locations (SeaTac, Burien, Rainier Valley, etc.).  Opportunity for district tournaments and all-stars!

Juniors Softball (ages 13-14):  The girls at this level can really hit well and the pitching is beautiful to watch!  Our Juniors teams interleague with many districts in the surrounding King County area.  Many doubleheaders are played as well.  Many of these girls also will play on their high school teams.  If your player is interested in high school ball, this is the level to get them prepared!  Any player who has experience at the majors level will comfortably move up to juniors.
