OPENING DAY - RescheduledPLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 4 TH @ 10:00 am AT SANDTOWN PARK, FOR OPENING DAY FESTIVITIES. WE WILL PROVIDE FREE FOOD AND FUN FOR THE KIDS AND LETS PLAY BALL!!!!
ALL PLAYERS SHOULD ARRIVE AT THE PARK AND BEGINNING LINING UP BY THE PAVILION ADJACENT TO THE PLAYGROUND, BY 9:15. THE PARADE WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 10:00 AM.
WE SUGGEST THAT ALL TEAMS WEAR THEIR UNIFORMS AND SHOW AS MUCH PRIDE AND TEAM SPIRIT AS YOU CAN WITH BANNERS, POSTERS, ETC.
FOLLOWING THE PARADE WE WILL HAVE FOOD AND FUN ACTIVITIES, WHICH INCLUDE A MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PITCH, HIT AND RUN CONTEST, WITH THE PARTICIPANTS HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO ADVANCE TO THE FINALS AT THE WORLD SERIES.
All teams should have a team mom or contact that will coordinate the distribution of food and information, once they arrive at the park on Saturday. The Opening Day Chairperson is Ms. Diana Goins (404-839-9976) , she will be the Opening Day contact person for any issues.

The Sandtown Youth Sports Association welcomes you to our 2009-baseball season. We want to thank you for choosing to be a part of our league. This year the association comes to you with fresh ideas, new committees and one focus - to ensure another exciting, fun and rewarding season.
Our association is a completely volunteer organization and we will need your assistance throughout the season. We will have committees, each headed by a board member, or appointee for various activities during the season. We challenge you to GET INVOLVED! Our success will be determined by your involvement.
SYSA COACHES REQUIREMENTS
BACKGROUND CHECK: Mandatory background checks are required for ALL coaches! All coaches must complete and submit a background check for review and approval before they are selected to coach.
CERTIFICATION: All coaches (dugout & field) will have to be certified before Opening Day.
