Welcome to San Benito Babe Ruth 2009!
We are looking forward to an exciting new season!
As you may have noticed, we are doing things a little differently this year and are excited about our new format. We have two distinct seasons this year. Spring Season, our "warm up" session began February 28th with an Opening Day BBQ and concluded with it's championship games in April. Now we will kick off our Summer Season with an Opening Night BBQ on May 15th. At this time all returning players will reconnect with their teams from last year and the new players will be assigned new teams.
We have lots of new players this year and several new coaches! Welcome to you all!
Congratulations to the Tigers for an Outstanding Spring Season! All of our teams played great baseball and now that everyone is all warmed up it's time to move on into our Summer Season which begins with our Opening Day Barbeque on May 15th!
Wow, what a turnout for Friday's opening nite Barbeque! I think we all had a great time yet again and the boys played some terrific baseball!

COACHES...don't forget to turn in your "Game Summary" sheets to the snack bar after each game so your star performers can see their names here on the website and in our local papers each week!
Thank you Coach Luna and Daniel Barone! The baseball clinic that you put on for us on Saturday, Jan. 31 was a great success with an incredible turnout by so many young players. Out thanks too, to all of the high school players who donated their entire Saturday to this wonderful event.

Great Job by the 13 Year Old All-Stars for making it to the State Tournament after winning the Regional Qualifier where they went undefeated!
Congratulations to the 15 Year Old All-Stars for making it to the Championship Game of the Regional Qualifier!
We bid a fond farewell to the 15's and wish them well on the next step of their baseball careers!

On the weekend of January 12th and 13th, San Benito Babe Ruth heard that members of the Hollister Little League Board may attempt to contact player families registered with San Benito Babe Ruth to inform them that Babe Ruth will not be having a Prep Season in 2008. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE. Babe Ruth will be having at least 4 prep league teams this year with games beginning on March 1st, as we have every year in the past. Each Prep league team will play approximately 8 games and then the new players to the league will be drafted to regular season teams with that Season beginning Friday night, April 18th.
Unfortunately, HLL continues to spread false information about their program and at the same time make false statements about San Benito Babe Ruth. The Babe Ruth Board only hopes the HLL Board is eventually exposed for this type of behavior and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions. Babe Ruth will continue to follow the high road and not participate in this behavior.
