30+ YEARS OF SALINE HORNET FOOTBALL

1976 - Present

Over the past 30+ years, the SHS Football Program has been based on a Philosophy of Hard Work and TEAM.  Although there have been “stars” that have passed through the program, the emphasis has always been on the TEAM.  There is a close bond developed between Coach and player during the course of the season.  This is a relationship that lasts a lifetime.

During this 30+ year period the community, school, team, and coaches have realized many accomplishments.  This historical information will help you to become familiar with the Saline High School Football Program and it's rich tradition.

OVER-ALL RECORD since 1950: 298-187-8  (.613)

All-League players have attended (Div.I-Div.II-Div.III) colleges to continue playing football. Colleges ranging from Adrian to Utah State...and even to the NFL!

In 1989 the Saline Football Team had a “Gold Brick,” with school name and mascot added to the MHSFCA display in the Hall of Fame Facility at the University of Michigan. Since 1964 Saline has won one Huron League Championship, one Washtenaw County League Championship, 12 Southeastern Conference Championships, and one SEC Red Championship.
