Please help us save our park!
Our park needs a lot of work done to it and we as the board of Salinas American have been working very hard to accomplish everything that needs to be done. There has been people generous enough to help us and we appreciate all they have done but we still have a long ways to go. We are having a community work day on March 28 in which we hope to do as much on our Wish List (below) as possible. If you feel like you can help either by donating your time on our work day or materials need to fulfill our list it would be greatly appreciated. Wish List:
- Replace both sides of outside fence (wood)
- Light on Flag Pole
- Replace both sides of field fence
- Place security lights on all four corners of clubhouse and one at the snack bar
- Replace front gate
- Asphalt entire park
- Reroof snack bar and clubhouse
- Redo dugouts w/ walls and roof
- Batting cage/pitching on third base line
- New picnic tables
- Redo Gene Robertson letters in the front of park
- Memorial sign for Larry Deaton to dedicate field to him
Materials Needed:
- Roofing- need 1060 square feet of material
- Fencing- need 80 feet of new board material 10' high
- Asphalt- 360' x 30' that will need to be covered
- Fence covering- 300' of pipe to put on top of outfield fence
