        U 6 & U8 Playing Recommendations & Exceptions



Little Kickers (U5 through U8)
U6
  • Formation of Teams:  Formed by the U6 Commissioner utilizing a blind draw. Criteria used for forming teams include: appropriate age group, years played, and school attending. The teams are coed and are formed equally amongst these criteria and the number of teams in each age bracket depends upon the number of registered players.
  • Ball:  Size 3
  • Practice: Each team is assigned two practice sessions a week, usually 1 hour each.
  • Games: One to two games a week at either Spartan or Kingspoint, Saturdays normally, Sundays in case of rain make-ups.
  • Monetary Commitment: The registration fee -- $120 if you need a uniform, $95 if not -- is for the fall and spring season. The uniform consists of 2 jerseys, shorts, and socks.  The purchase of soccer cleats is optional, shin guards (MANDATORY).
  • Length of Season: Practice begins late August and goes through the spring. There is a season break. The fall ends mid-November.  The spring starts the first week in February and ends in March.
