SVLL: Welcome

 SVLL Families, Just a reminder that our walk-in registrations begin THIS Saturday, Jan. 17th at both Winward Pizza in NE Tacoma AND Round Table Pizza on N. Pearl Street in North Tacoma 12:00-4:00. Please come in and sign-up and ask our board members any questions you may have. Please remember to bring in an original birth certificate and 3 proofs of residence. We look forward to seeing you! Also…New this year…the board has voted to no longer hold tryouts or a “draft” in the AA division. The board will be placing the players on to teams. You are able to put in coach requests and we will try our best to accommodate those as long as the teams remain balanced in both ages and skill level.

All players that sign up at the AAA level or higher MUST attend at least one of the scheduled player evaluation workouts. These workouts will be held at Browns Point Elementary turf fields this year. The first one is on Sat. Jan. 31st from 1:00-4:00 for boys AAA and above. Check-in will be available beginning at 12:30. We will divide the players up by age groups using both fields. Please dress warmly and bring your baseball gear. The second evaluation workout will be on Feb. 7th from 1:00-4:00 for boys AAA and above and girls softball AAA and above. Check-in will be available beginning at 12:30. This will also be at BPE.

Be sure to include your name, contact information; baseball experience, and which level you are interested in coaching. No coaching/team decisions will be made until the registrations are completed and we can determine how many teams we will have this season. I am looking forward to a terrific 2015 season!  Soundview Players and Families,

         As we celebrate this holiday season and ring in the New Year…It is also time to register for another great Little League Season! Our online registration is now open.

There are a few changes to be aware of:

The League Age for boys’ baseball has changed. For boys born before 2007, NO CHANGE April 30^th cut-off remains. For boys born 2007 and after, it is now a December 31^st cut-off. Be sure to check the age chart on our website. We will also have the age charts at our in-person registrations and can offer assistance.

There will be a $10 fee increase for any registration after the following dates.

*January 25^th for AA level and above   *February 25^th for T-ball and A-ball

         We have a lot of fun things planned for this season! Our Opening Day will be held to kick off the season in April and we will have our hit-a-thon again, a visit from Rhubarb of the Tacoma Rainiers, bouncy houses and more! Our SVLL day at the Rainiers will be on Friday May 1^st…including FIREWORKS!

We are trying to expand our league by reaching out to the entire city of Tacoma. We are Tacoma’s only Little League! If you know of anyone who would like to play for Soundview…please bring them to one of our registrations. Don’t forget to bring your child’s original birth certificate and 3 proofs of residency.
