Tuesday, March 10
Practices Will Begin mid-March

March 10 through March 15 players should hear from their National League coaches. Based on the result of the National League draft some  players will be rostered on these National League teams while other will be pool players for these teams.

We have one more American League manager slot to fill. Once that is filled National League pool players and all 13 year olds will be contacted by their American League manager. This should occur priot to March 22.

 Practices will begin mid-March and continue through to the end of April. The season will begin April 30.

 



Friday, February 27
The last chance to register for the 2015 season will be Sunday, March 1 at Arnold Field. Players needing a tryout who register on March 1 will tryout on March 8.

Signups for Sonoma Valley Babe Ruth Baseball will take place at the Multipurpose Room at Arnold Field, 250 First Street West, on Wednesday, February 4th, and Thursday, February 5th , from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Signups are for all players 13 to 15 years of age. Babe Ruth age is whatever age the player has attained on or before April 30, 2015 . Any new player to Babe Ruth must furnish an “Original” Sealed Birth Certificate, which will be returned upon inspection by a league officer at signups.
 
There will be an additional signup session at the Arnold Field Snack Bar on Saturday, February 7th , from 10:00 A.M. to Noon.
The registration fee is $195.00 per player. Checks should be made out to “SVBR” or Sonoma Valley Babe Ruth. Signups occurring after the 3 scheduled sessions will be charged $225.00.
 
SVBR requires each family to work a snack bar shift during the season. Along with the registration check, each family should bring a second check for $100 as a snack bar deposit. The second check will be returned after you have worked your snack bar shift. If a family does not wish to volunteer then a $100 non-refundable donation can be paid with the registration.
 
Anyone wishing to volunteer to coach or manage a team should forward a letter of intention and a coaching resume to S.V.B.R., P.O. Box 2113, Sonoma, CA 95476 or you may turn them in at any of the signup sessions.
 
Tryouts for Babe Ruth are scheduled for Sunday, March 1 Arnold Field. Makeup tryouts are scheduled for Sunday, March 8th.
The next Board meeting for Sonoma Valley Babe Ruth will take place on Monday, February 16th at 7:00 P.M. in the Multipurpose Room at Arnold Field.
 
Nomination and election of officers as well as discussions concerning the upcoming season will be on the agenda.

Sonoma Valley Babe Ruth is for Sonoma baseball players of age 13 to 15. Games are played on Arnold and Peterson Fields (90 ft. baseball). Registration is held in Febraury. Registration dates are announced in the second week of Janaury. Tryouts are in March and the season runs May to the end of June. The All Star tournaments being in early July.

The Sonoma Valley 14 year old All Stars will beging their state tournament on Saturday, July 12 at Clark Field in Woodland. Sonoma will open the tournament playing Palo Alto.
