Shootout failed to decide winner!
Canton struck first and early in the first period and ended the period in a 1-1 tie.  In the second period, forward Jared Wallace got the team fired up with an awesome short-handed, break away goal top shelf on the Clarkson goalie.  Forward Nick Ryan and Defenseman Mike Rittberg also scored that period ending the period up 4-1.  The third period was full of penalties for Canton and Clarkson was able to pull within one with 3 minutes remaining.  Clarkson was saved from defeat with 21 seconds remaining with a bad rebound that led to a goal to tie it up and send the game into a shoot out.  The shoot out ended with both teams scoring only one goal.  Brett Michelson scored for Canton.  Goalie Chris Beardsly was a wall in the net saving 40 out of 44 shots!
