THE 2008 SPRING SEASON OF SUNRISE MOUNTAIN LITTLE LEAGUE
A COUPLE OF THINGS
WE ALL NEED TO KNOW
For those of you who are new to the league, first we would like to say welcome and give you a little history on the league.
This league is over 25 years old, one of the oldest in Las Vegas, and over the years it has seen its share of changes. Just like this year, as you may or may not have known, in 2007 we changed the league's name from Paradise Valley American Little League to Sunrise Mountain Little League. It is because of changes like this and many others that our league grows and prospers. Speaking of growing our numbers have done just that. Going from an average of around 175 players per year for the past 5 plus years to over 300 players this year. Which leads us to our next hope for this year which is for all of the players & their families who have been with our league for some time now to welcome all the new players and their families to the league. As the numbers show that is about 50% of the league so lets make sure their experience this season is a great one and keeps them all coming back to play in the years to come.
Our next need to know item is this, our league is set-up, organized, and operated by very dedicated volunteers, who give countless hours of their time and money to this league. It is because of them that your children are getting to experience the wonderful game of little league baseball. So please remember when your sitting in the stands holding a hotdog in one hand and a soda in the other, watching your son or daughter come up to bat, dressed in their team uniform, to take a second and look around and you'll see 300 boys and girls having the time of their life.
Remember its because of the unselfish efforts of these individuals that made it all possible.
