The Southern Tier Hockey Association is a Youth Hockey Organization located in the Southern Tier of New York State.  We offer both House and Competitive Tier II Travel Programs ranging from Mini-Mites through Midgets, ages 4 to 18.

New STHA Referral Fee Program

The STHA has implemented a new referral fee program for the upcoming season. For each new family you refer to the STHA, Dyno through 16U, you will receive a $25 credit that may be used to offset your current STHA fees. Please note new Mini players are not eligible. The new incoming family must not have any existing players in the STHA. The referral fee will be credited to your account upon receipt of the entire 2009-2010 fee from the new incoming family.

The next board meeting will be held on July 20th, 2009 at The Relief Pitcher, 197 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton NY, beginning at 7:00 PM.

Please come out and help support youth Hockey in the Southern Tier.

SATURDAY NITE HOCKEY

What: Pee Wee/First Year Bantam Level Hockey League

Where: Chenango Ice Rink (CIR)

When: Starting Saturday, July 11, 2009

The Saturday Nite Hockey League is a fun/instructional, non-checking league for those who played at the Pee Wee or Bantam levels during the '08/'09 season. The league will consist of 4 teams, with games at 6:00PM and 7:30PM. The schedule will rotate each week and will run for 8 weeks. The cost will be $110. All participants must be registered with USA Hockey.

2009 Youth Golf Camp

at River Run II Golf Links

 

  Camp Specifics:

     •  Camp Dates:  7/6-7/10 , 7/20-7/24 , 8/3-8/7 , 8/10-8/14

     •  5 day camp runs Monday thru Friday, 10am – 2pm

     •  Each session will include daily instruction on golf rules & etiquette along with

        emphasis on one specific golf skill (i.e. putting, chipping, etc.) followed by 9 holes

        of golf.

     •  Daily contests will be held for skills taught that day.

     •  There will be a captain and crew style tournament on the last day of the program.

     •  Lunch provided each day.

 

  Cost Per Child:

     •  $100 per child for full week session.

Bill Pfeiffer Memorial "Between the Pipes" Fund

The Between the Pipes Fund was established in 2007 to benefit members of the greater Binghamton area youth ice hockey community and to memorialize Bill Pfeiffer as a long-term supporter of youth hockey.

The STHA grows this fund with the STHA Ice Breaker Fundraiser and other events. The fund will provide the base fees associated with each age group, based on USA Hockey's standard of classification.


The fund will benefit the following levels, regardless of if the player is enrolled in the house or travel program: Mini-mite, Dyno-mite, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget. If awarded, the fund will make the payment directly to the Southern Tier Hockey Association to offset the recipient's base fees.
