South Shore Longhorns: TESTIMONIALS
My son Jack got a great piece of mail over the weekend and wanted to let you know because I am a mom and very proud of my kids, but also because Jack is a Longhorn so we all get bragging rights! My 5th grade son, Jack Graham, was one of the FYD Scholar-Athlete 1st Team recipients. Jack received a letter that he has been selected as a SE Regional Scholar-Athlete 1st Team and his name has been submitted to be considered for Scholar-Athlete Honors at the National Level...
Thanks for all you do for the Longhorns and thank you for being part of an organization that honors the combination of a scholar and athlete. Programs like this one motivate these students to work hard in school and transfer that same motivation to the field.

Our son, Lorenzo Valencia, has been an active youth player in tackle football for the South Shore Longhorns since the Fall of 2008, the year of inception. We have kept him with the Longhorns because the league has continually worked on improving and offering the best possible training to the youth players in our surrounding communities. Every child is given specialized and consistent training, including football drills and conditioning.
Football is Lorenzo's #1 passion. Each year he has improved on his football skills learning offense and defense strategies and memorizing the plays, and also learning the importance of good health. This would not be possible without the support of our coaching staff... and the parents; without the parent's support, our teams would not be a success.
In addition, Pop Warner also places a focus on each child's educationl; it is standard to produce a current report card upon registration. A child must always focus on education as the #1 priority and have a balance between education and sports.
Overall, we are VERY happy with the league, and are looking forward to the 2011 season. At the South Shore Longhorns, every child has the ability to achieve success in the world of football by applying the right tools and the right training - success is endless.
