SSDIB: Scholar Athelete

2009 SSDIB Scholar Athelete Program
boy learning
SSDIB has been working with boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 15 for the last 37 years. We emphasize scholastics as well as athletic involvement. Our program follow strict academic guidelines throughout the entire season. This season, we are expecting over 350 children to participate in our program from the South San Diego and Imperial Beach Area.

We believe ACADEMICS and ATHLETICS must be the foundation of our organization: therefore our children, in order to participate, must have a Scholastic requirement of 70% and/or 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA). Our goal is to produce a well-rounded community oriented young adult that will eventually become our future.

We look forward to recognizing our 2009 Scholar Athletes. Please encourage your athlete to strive for the very best grades. This is important for setting the stage as they move towards their high school, college and life experiences.

Each season the best of the best are recognized, those in particular that achieve a GPA of 3.6 or better are eligible for scholarships and other rewards. Even national recognition!

At the very last registration date in June a special table will be set up to receive all FINAL year end report cards. Athletes in all divisions are required to present report cards to the Education Director.

If you have any questions you may contact Vivia Buelna.

Please remember all FINAL report cards must be turned in no later than July 27th, our first day of practice.
