Juniors 10 & Under Rules
"B & C" Classification

A.S.A. rules will be used with the following modifications:

  1. Game duration will be 1 hour 20 minutes; no new inning will begin after this time.
  2. Forfeits will occur 1 minute after game time.
  3. Games will NOT be rescheduled unless called by the Umpire, due to weather or safety issues.
  4. Girls must be in full uniform. (Shirts tucked in, shorts/pants, sliders, and cleats). Leg guards are not mandatory, however, they are highly recommended.
  5. No jewelry or hard hair accessories.
  6. Umpires must have your lineup prior to the start of game. Your line up must include: Players number, last name first, first name last and position. All substitutions must be reported to the Umpire and the other team. All teams must utilize a line up card.
  7. Pitching distance will be 35 feet. Base distance will be 60 feet.
  8. Bat the bench. (All players in attendance)
  9. Nine (9) players on the Defensive playing field.
  10. A minimum of 8 players can be used to start a game. (See Shorthanded Teams rule in A.S.A. book)
  11. Pitchers may only pitch 5 innings per game. One pitch constitutes an inning. Any team in violation of this rule will forfeit the game in question and the Manager will be suspended from the Field for one full game.
  12. 10C Division Only:runners may advance only 1 base per pitch; batter-runner may not steal second on a base on balls.
  13. 10U divisions use a 4 run cap for the first 3 innings. (When the fourth run has scored, the teams switch regardless of the number of outs). Starting at the top of the 4th inning: -10UB division: runs are unlimited -10UC division: there is a 6-run cap in effect for the remainder of the game
  14. There is a mercy rule: 12 runs ahead after the 3rd inning; 10 runs ahead after the 4th inning; and, 8 runs ahead after the 5th inning.
  15. Every girl plays two innings. Substitutions must be made by the top of the 3rd inning. Any player unable to play their 2 innings must start the next game and complete any missed innings. Any team in violation of this rule will forfeit the game in question and the Manager will be suspended from the Field for one full game.
  16. If the catcher is on base with 2 outs, you may utilize the “Speed Up Rule” which means that the last out runs for the catcher.


12U Rules

  4. Girls must be in full uniform. (Shirts tucked in, shorts/pants, sliders, and cleats). Leg guards are not mandatory, however, they are highly recommended. If hats are worn and if there are two or more, they must be "like" in color.
  5. No jewelry or hard hair accessories.
  6. Umpires must have your lineup prior to the start of game. Your line up must include: Players number, last name first, first name last and position. All substitutions must be reported to the Umpire and the other team. All teams must utilize a line up card.
  7. Pitching distance will be 40 feet. Base distance will be 60 feet.
  8. *** Bat the Line Up or Bat the bench. A coach may elect to bat all players in attendance, if a player scheduled to bat has left the game, an out shall be declared for each turn missed. The choice must be declared at the start of the game and is not subject to change once the game begins.
  9. Nine (9) players on the Defensive playing field.
  10. A minimum of 8 players can be used to start a game. (See the Shorthanded rule in A.S.A. rulebook).
  11. The "Drop third strike" is in effect.

A courtesy runner may also be utilized for either the pitcher or the catcher at anytime. You may use the last out or a player that is currently on the bench, whether she has been in the game or not.
