All-Star Spotlight On...
scottie
Happy Softballer!

Miss Scottie Bolin :)

Scottie is 6 years old. She will be going into the 1st grade at Coulson Tough. This is her first season with SMGSL and played league ball with Coach Johnnie Golsby on Team USA. She has been playing for the 6U Force All-Stars with Jeff Lemmons so far this summer. She really loves this sport. Her other interests are swimming, riding her bike (or just being outside), her American Girl Dolls or any other doll, and coloring and drawing. SMGSL is so happy to have Scottie & the Bolins as part of the SMGSL family!

This month the SMGSL spotlight is on 8U player Emily Curda, also affectionately known around the ballpark as 'The Face of SMGSL'. Emily is playing her 7th season at SMGSL, having started at the age of 4. In addition to being an "All A Honor Roll" student, Emily is also a Brownie-Girl Scout and is starring as an orphan in Christian Youth Theater's May production of "Annie jr."

SMGSL REPRESENTED INTERNATIONALLY!!
Ellie

SMGSL's Ellie Pamenter represented Great Britain in the U13 European Championships that were held in Prague, Czech Republic  this past summer. Ellie represented herself and SMGSL very well.

The level of Softball in the UK is extremely recreational, and it was a struggle for the team to compete with the likes of Russia and the Netherlands who have all been playing competitively for many years. That said, when Ellie was pitching all the games were competitive with very close scores each time.

WAY TO GO ELLIE!!
