LOOKING FOR SOMETHING FUN & REWARDING? TRY BEING A VOLUNTEER
SMALL has been one of the best (if not the best) youth organizations in the Southern Maryland area for the past 40 (plus) years for one reason...volunteers. The parents, managers, coaches, umpires, league officials, team moms and dads, concession workers, scorekeepers, etc., are all dedicated citizens of our local community who willingly volunteer their time and effort to make St. Mary's American Little League what is today.
SMALL is currently seeking volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors. There are plenty of positions available that need to be filled in order to continue providing a quality program for the youth of St. Mary's County. If you would like to volunteer and become part of the local Little League Family, even if it's just a few minutes a week, there is always something that needs to be done. And remember, you don't always have to coach, umpire, or be on the Board of Directors to contribute to our kids and your local Little League. Volunteers are needed to help umpire, manage, coach, work concessions, keep score, or serve as a team parent. Whatever you chose, your time and effort will always be appreciated and rewarding.
If you would like to volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application form found in the Handouts Section, click on the headline of this article, (or visit http://www.littleleague.org/common/forms/volunteerapp1.pdf). Please fill out necessary information and bring it with you when you register your son/daughter. Or, look for the volunteer section on the registration form on the day you sign your child up and check all that apply. A league official will contact you in the coming weeks.
The information you provide will be protected and used for official league use only. SMALL does not sell or distribute personal information to telemarketers or anyone outside of the Little League Organization.
