PONY Baseball and Softball Alumni Scholarship
PONY Baseball and Softball is proud to announce an Alumni Scholarship for
graduates of Pony League, Colt League and/or Palomino League. In order to be
considered for a scholarship a PONY baseball or softball player must play on a
PONY affiliated Pony, Colt and/or Palomino team for at least two years prior to
application and be a senior in high school. Likewise an application must be
submitted prior to May 1st, 2012 along with the School & Community Activities
Form, an Essay on the designated topic, an Official Secondary School Transcript, a
copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the school you are planning to attend, a
Notarized Letter confirming participation in an affiliated league and two Letters of
Recommendation.
When the aforementioned information has been received, the Scholarship Committee will consider the application complete.??>#I~

2012 Softball Order form
SMAFF is pleased to offer once again the opportunity for our members to purchase softballs at discounted league pricing.
Balls are optic yellow, leather cover with a .47core (the meets league requirements).
Ball may be purchased by the full dozen no partial dozens. Please be sure to indicate 11” or 12” balls.
(10U uses 11” balls, all other divisions use 12” balls)

2012 SMAFF Waiver
All SMAFF players must have a signed 2011 waiver signed and turned into the division rep before league play begins. No exceptions.

2011 SMAFF House Rules updated
We made a few changes from last year. Hopefully make it easier for everyone.
Some of the changes that were made.
1. The 12, 14, 16 & 18 U are all under the same house rules.
2. The 12U play 9 defensive. No option to play 10.
3 The mercy rule is defined for all teams.
4. Metal cleats are allowed for 14U, 16 U & 18 U only.
All coaches are required to carry house rules with them along with the roster.
All teams are required to have all equipment meet Michigan High School Softball Association standards.
Bad behavior is not tolerated by the league. Please report any misconduct to any league officers as soon as possible.

SCS Sharks Early Spring Tournament
SCS Sharks - (April 21st - 22nd, 2012) – Early Spring tournament at Kyte Monroe (SCS, MI.)
Cost: $275.00 / 5 - games / Everyone plays each team once / No Trophies 12u: 4-6 teams 14u: 6 teams
Tentative start time daily: 9:00 a.m. - Saturday / Sunday...Rules: SMAFF rules / Everyone bats / Time limit no inning starts after 1 hour 20 minutes
Goal: Get the girls outside on the field and away from the winter training indoors!
Tentative scheduling plan: (I have 5 diamonds reserved for the weekend)
Saturday - 3 games per team Sunday - 2 games per team
Any questions please let me know and if interested in playing selected by order who commits first. Money is due by 2-29-2012.
