Team of Mixed Origins
Shanghai ReUnited is the brother team of Beaver United. Both teams together form Shanghai United FC, which was originally formed by a bunch of Russian-speaking expats in 1993. While most other teams mainly have players from only one country, we consider ourselves Shanghai's most international football club with players from more than 25 countries. It is this mixture and our good spirit on and off the pitch that makes our club special.
We have players from Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Brazil, Cameroon, China, England, Equatorial Guinea, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, USA, Wales and Zimbabwe, ranging in age from 20 to well over 40.
Both teams train together twice a week and go out drinking together whenever possible and especially after the matches.
