It was deja vu for the Cobras as they once again were crowned CCYB 11u champs. The road was tough in the early round of the playoffs, as the Cobras survived a slugfast with the West Covina Rebels 8-7. In the final rounds of the competitive CCYB playoffs the Cobras outlasted the OC Heat in a tightly conested game 2-1, which had standout pitching and defense. In the finals, the Cobras blasted the Lynx 19-1 for their fourth consectutive CCYB crown. Congratulations for the tremendous team effort!

In another strong showing of the Cobras all around performance, the Cobras were crowned the 2007 11u USSSA Oktoberfest Major Champions. In earning the #1 seed the Cobras beat the North County Longhorns (9-1), and tied the tough Sidewinders (5-5). In the playoffs, the Cobras were again matched with the North County Longhorns and in a game that was a lot tougher then the score would indicate, won 12-4. Strong pitching, clutch hitting and stellar defense were the hallmarks of the weekend for the Cobras. In the finals, the Cobras faced one of the strongest teams in the nation, the Murrieta Lumber Kings , who had beat the tough Sidewinders 21-7 in their playoff game. The Cobras knew they would be in for a battle, and it sure looked that way when the Lumber Kings took a 3-1 lead into the fourth inning. The Cobras, well know for their come from behind victories then proceeded to place 8 runs on the board over the next 2 innings to win the championship (9-3).

The 11u Cobras started 11u tournament play right where they left off as 10 year olds! The Cobras journeyed out to Big league Dreams and won the 11u USSSA 2007 Indian Summer Classic. With wins over the Trojans (8-3) and the Menifee Mustangs (17-2), in the qualifing round the Cobras earned a 1st seed in the playoffs. Their first round opponent was the pesky Tojans who threw their 200 pound ace pitcher at the Cobras. In a tightly fought battle the Cobras came up with 3 runs in their last at bat to previal 5-4. The championship game found their arch rival the Dirtfrogs, who had prepared well for the Cobras. The Cobras played solid ball and were able to earn the championship 8-6.

Eleven brave Cobras ventured to Steamboat Springs, Colorado on July 17, 2007, to make their mark in the national Triple Crown World Series. Not only did the Cobras travel 1000 miles, but they finished second out of 44 teams from the nation. Playing against teams from Colorado, Texas, Nebraska and California the Cobras in a team effort won the winners bracket in a tightly contested game against the So Cal Outlaws, only to then lose the championship game against the Outlaws who fought their way back to the championship game through the losers bracket. The boys had an incredible experience in the mountains of Colorado, and look forward to next season.

Cobras slammed the So Cal Sidewinders 16-10, to claim the rings as the champions of the 2007 Super Series Memorial Day Tournament held in Huntington Beach, California. On the way to the championship, the Cobras pitched a perfect game against the Top Prospects, and the Cobras shut out the Torrance American Warriors 12-0. In the semi-final playoff game, the Torrance American Warriors put up a strong fight only to lose 5-4, as the Cobras scored 2 runs in their last at-bat. The tone was set by Lucas 2 run home run in the Cobras first at-bat, but the game was not determined until Matt, a new addition to the Cobras, blasted a bases loaded grand slam in the sixth inning, putting the game out of reach. Everyone of the Cobras contributed to the victory, and a special thank you to Danny, Matt, Bing, Jordan and Quinn

The SGV Cobras Black 10u team claimed yet another Tournament Championship over President's Day weekend in Huntington Beach, California, going 3-0 before rain washed out the final game against the Lake Forest Dirt Frogs. The Tournament win earns the Cobras official berths to the Steamboat Springs Triple Crown Tournament in July for the National Championship, and the Fall Championship in Las Vegas.

In what may have been the hardest pool play draw of any team at the USSSA Easter Tournament, the Cobras showed outstanding pitching, timely hitting and perhaps the strongest fielding of any of the 12 teams in the 10u division. Over the course of 4 games the entire Cobra squad committed only one error, and turned 2 double plays and caught a number of runners trying to steal. In their first game, the mighty Cobras beat the eventual finalists in the tournament the Mission Viejo Thunder in a effort in which all contributed timely hits, 10-1. After that impressive victory, the Cobras faced the Corona Bulls, the top rated USSSA division AAA team. With some amazing fielding plays, gutsy pitching and a key 2 out triple, the Cobras prevailed 5-3. Undefeated, the Cobras then faced the Chino Hills Storm, the eventual winners of the tournament. The Cobras built up an impressive lead of 7-3 going into the last inning. The Storm stormed back with 4 runs and were able to pull out the victory, which then followed with a playoff victory by the Storm. The Cobras showed a great deal of positive things on and off the field in this tournament, and put the travel baseball world on notice that they will be one of the teams in contention at the Triple Crown World Series in July, 2007 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado!
