Michael Hur of Valencia High has verbally committed to a UC Riverside baseball scholarship. He batted .368 with two home runs and 25 RBI as a junior last season.
Hur, a right-handed outfielder who also is a part-time pitcher, said he turned down several offers after deciding UC Riverside was the best fit.
"The coaches seemed really nice, and it felt like they really wanted me to go to Riverside," Hur said. "It was between UC Irvine and UC Riverside, and it was a tough choice, because my brother goes to Irvine. But Riverside just wanted me more, and they offered a full scholarship. It's a full ride."

Nick Farinacci joins the Arsenal program from Agoura HS. The infielder has verbally committed to UC Ivrine.
RICHARD JOHNSON TO ATTEND U. OF LA VERNE
Richard Johnson from Covina HS will continue his baseball career at the University of La Verne. The Leopards are getting a top player. Rich has been in the Arsenal program since its beginning. Rich is a three time All Valle Vista league selection, two time all area, LA Times All Area, All CIF and League Most Valuable Player. Good luck to Rich in his college career.

DAVE CONTRERAS TO ATTEND U of LaVERNE
Congratulation to David Contreras and his family for his acceptance into the University of La Verne. David will continue his baseball career at La Verne following graduation from Bishop Amat this spring. David has been a part of the Arsenal prgoram since 2003.
