Tryout Dates for 2011 Southington Lightning Teams
The Southington Lightning travel softball program will be holding tryouts for the 2011 season on the following dates:
10u: Players born in 2000 or later...Aug 19 & 23, 6-8pm
11u: Players born in 1999...Aug 16 & 24, 6-8pm
12u: Players born in 1998...Aug 18 & 25, 6-8pm
13u: Players born in 1997...Aug 17, 6-8pm
14u: Players born in 1996...Aug 17, 6-8pm & Aug 22, 4-6:30pm
16u: Players born in 1994 & 1995...Aug 16, 6-8pm & Aug 22, 4-6pm
**All tryouts will take place at Panthorn Park. Please arrive at least 15min early to register and bring a copy of your birth certificate. If you are interested but unable to attend the assigned date, please send an email to emkjbeaupre@yahoo.com and the appropriate coach will be notified to contact you about a possible alternate date.
SUMMER SCORCHER SUCCESS!!
The 5th Annual Southington Lightning Summer Scorcher PONY Invitational Fastpitch SofTball Tournament was a huge success, drawing 27 teams from around the state and Long Island. For the first time in the history of the event there was a Southington Lightning Team competing in the Championship game in all 3 age brackets. Congratulations to the 10u & 14u teams for winning their respective championship games and to the 12u team for finishing 2nd and the 98's team for finishing 3rd.
Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis. Parents and coaches are invited to attend and become members of the Board. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 3rd at 7:00pm in the Panthorn Park Meeting Room.
