against Archbishop Romero an unranked team with a record of 20 -8 the TDCAA AAA

first quarter lead and riding that to a 61-38 win with everyone participating.

That brought us again to the elite 8 matched against the Wossa Champs ( London )Medway Cowboys at 25-3.
This was the only team with less losses than Brennan. The first quarter closed with
Brennan down 8-11 with the ball not wanting to drop. Medway played tough defense against
the inside rotation and the ball started to drop more easily for them and at the half
found the Cards down 13-19.The starters found themselves down double didgits in the
third quarter but made a brief run to get within 9 but 2 turnovers and 2 threes by
Medway opened up a 15 point lead and the Cards finished the 3rd down 13 at 23-36.
The fourth quarter found the cards pressing to make up the difference but closed out 17
points down 31-48. At 26% shooting this was the poorest showing of the year by Brennan
due in part to Medway's stingy defense but also tight rims and balls that just wouldn't
drop at the right time for the Cardinals. Medway went on to defeat #1 Ashbury 38-29 but lost the Gold by 1 point
to Unranked Holy Cross of Kingston who managed to knock off the 6th seed, 3rd seed, 2nd seed and 5th seed on their way to the Championship.
95% of all seasons end in a loss. Before acknowledging our last game scorers.
I would like to say goodbye to our Cardinal Seniors. Jessie Plante 4 good years together.
