Pop Warner Little Scholars
This is the National web-site and headquarters. There are eight Pop Warner Regions under Pop Warner across the country. Each region has one or more football leagues/conferences comprised of many associations that may have four or more teams. SEMPWFL is one league/conference in one of the 8 regions. During the first week of December, all the Regional Champions meet at the end of the season to determine the National Champions at the "Pop Warner Super Bowl" held at Walt Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando Florida. This massive event is put on by Pop Warner Little Scholars. Mid-America Region Pop Warner The leagues/conferences within the six Mid west states make up the Mid-America Pop Warner Region: (Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri). A team of appointed volunteers who reside in the region are responsible for managing the region. The Region sets up and host the Regional Finals for football, cheer and dance. The winners are crowned Mid-America Regional Champions and are given the distinct honor of representing the Mid-America Region at the National Pop Warner Superbowl. This Grand event is usually held during the second week of December at Walt Disney, Orlando, Florida. Northern Indiana Pop Warner This is currently the largest league/conference in the Mid America Pop Warner Region. This league has football, cheer and dance squads in 23 cities in the state of Indiana. NIPWFL is a sister league to SEMPWFL. Our league champions usually meet their champions in interstate sub-regional post season playoffs during the 2nd and or 3rd week in November to determine what teams advance to the Mid-America Pop Warner Regional Finals. North East Ohio Pop Warner This league has 10 associations representing the north east area of Ohio. This league has only been in existence for three years and is growing. They have division I & division II teams. Their champions usually meet our champions in sub-regional post season playoffs also. Chicagoland Pop Warner Chicagoland has grown to 19 associations in the Chicago metro area that currently make up their league. All of their teams play in the "strongest" division I category. Our division I champions must meet their champions to advance to regional playoffs. Kansas City Pop Warner Kansas City has 8 associations and 1 Challenger league for persons with disabilities. Kansas City has teams in both division I and division II as we do. Their champions are declared state champions and advance to sub regional and regional playoffs where they are likely to match up with our teams. Heart of America Heart of America is currently the largest Pop Warner league in Missouri! It serves the youth of Jackson, Clay & Platte counties in Missouri. Heart of America is the main governing body but is comprised of Associations and Clubs throughout the area. The following make up Heart of America. Independence, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Liberty, Gladstone, Kearney, Excelsior Springs, Lawson and Parkville. Central Wisconsin Unavailable at this time. |
