Business Meeting

 The next meeting is Thursday June 14 at 8PM at Mario's Restaurant.  Deposits will be accepted for this year's ocean dive trips. Plans will be made for the Club picnic.

All dives are with Blue Fathoms, Pt. Pleasant NJ (www.bluefathoms.com)
Dives depart at 7 AM and return by 1:30 PM.
Most dives are to wrecks at 65-85' depth. Fish / lobster are typical targets.
Deposits will be accepted in May 2012.
Trips that are not filled by Club members will be made available to all AOW certified divers.

2011 - Ocean Dives
All dives are with Blue Fathoms, Pt. Pleasant NJ (www.bluefathoms.com)
Dives depart at 7 AM and return by 1:30 PM.
Most dives are to wrecks at 65-85' depth. Fish / lobster are typical targets.

Sunday, October 10
2010 Ocean Dives
All dives are with Blue Fathoms, Pt. Pleasant NJ (www.bluefathoms.com)
Dives depart at 7 AM and return by 1:30 PM.
Most dives are to wrecks at 65-85' depth. Fish / lobster are typical targets.
Deposits will be accepted in May 2010.

Sat July 10 - Divers enjoyed visiting the scallop boat wreck and the Cranford Ferry. visibility was a hazy 15-20 ft and water temp was about 54 degrees. Fluke, sea bass, and mussels were retrieved.
Sat July 24 - Fluke and mussels were rescued from the Horseshoe and Dykes Schooner sites.
Sat Aug 7   - Visited the Maurice Tracy (a chilly 49 degrees but a good 30' or more visibility).  The Crane Barge proved to be a fine source of mussels, sea bass, and black fish.
Sat Aug 21 - Cancelled
Sat Sep 11 - Enjoyed 64 degree water and 20 ft visibility on the NE Sailor wreck. Many sea bass and lobster were retrieved.
Sat Sep 25 - Cancelled


Saturday, September 26
2009 Ocean Dives

Sat July 11 - Club members enjoyed visiting the wrecks of the Vizcaya and Maurice Tracey.
Sat July 25Club members retrieved sea bass, mussels, and lobster from the wreck of the offshore Hankins.
Sat Aug 8   - Club members and others retrieved fluke, sea bass, mussels, and lobsters from the inshore Dry Dock and Dykes Schooner wrecks.
Sat Aug 22 - Cancelled due to weather/sea conditions.
Sat Sep 12 - Cancelled due to weather/sea conditions
Sat Sep 26 - Cancelled due to weather/sea conditions


Saturday, September 20
2008 Ocean Dives
All dives are with the Blue Fathoms, Point Pleasant NJ (www.bluefathoms.com). 
Dives depart at 7 AM.  
Most dive sites are in the 65-90 ' depth range.
Fish and lobster are typical targets.
Deposits are being accepted now!
Trips not filled by Club members will be listed as open to non-members.

Saturday Jun 28   - Excellent day - Two dives on the Maurice Tracey. Water temp was 48 degrees - visibility 25 feet. Lobsters, fluke, and sea bass were invited to dinner.
Saturday Jul 12    - Another beautiful day. I think we got in the last good dive before Bertha took over. Two dives on the offshore Hankins. Water temp had dropped to 46 degrees - vis was about 15 feet. Numerous Sea Bass and lobster were retrieved. See photo album.
Saturday Jul 26    - A lovely day to visit the Mohawk. 2 divers with flat seas and 20+ ft vis. Water is still cool for this time of the year - 47 degrees. The wreck was explored; sea bass, lobster, and flounder invited to dinner.
Saturday Aug 9    - Flat seas again. We visited the 120 wreck and the Dykes schooner. Sea bass, lobster, ling, and fluke were obtained. Club members retrieved some feisty (and tasty!) mussels from the Dykes.
Saturday Aug 23  - Two dives on the wreck of the Tolten. Hard to believe, but it's still a chilly 47-48 degrees at the bottom. The wreck was explored. Lobster, fluke, and sea bass were rescued. Ocean pout and eels were everywhere.
Saturday Sep 6    - Cancelled due to weather
Saturday Sep 20  - Cancelled due to surface conditions


Monday, October 1
2007 Ocean Dives

     Dives depart at 7 AM.  
          Most dive sites are in the 65-90 ' depth range. Fish and lobster are typical targets.
              Deposits are now being accepted.

Saturday Jun 23 - Two dives on the Dykes Schooner. Fluke, Sea Bass, Goosefish
Saturday Jul 7     - Two dives on the Maurice Tracey. Lobster, Sea Bass
Saturday Jul 21   - One dive each on Crane Barge and Middle Barge. Sea Bass, Fluke, Lobster, Mussels.
Saturday Aug 4    -  One dive each on the Vivian and the Coffee wreck. Sea Bass, Lobster, Ling.
Saturday Aug 18  - One dive on the Reef Barge. Sea Bass, Mussels, Black fish..                                           
Saturday Sep 8    - Two dives on the Delaware. Sea Bass, Black fish, Lobster.
Saturday Sep 22  - One dive each on the Veronica and the Cadet. Lobster, Blackfish!

Saturday Aug 5   - Two dives on the Cranford Ferry - Fluke! Sea Bass! Blackfish!
Saturday Aug 19  - Fish retrieved from the Maurice Tracey and Gassoon..
Saturday Sep 9   - Mussels, fish, and lobster were rescued from the Crane Barge.
Saturday Sep 23  - Cancelled by Mother Nature..

2005 Ocean Dives

2005 Dive Season
Sat. June 11  7am  - 2 dives on the Riggy. Sea Bass and Fluke were rescued from the briny deep.
Sat. June  25  7am - 2 dives on the Dykes schooner. Sea Bass, Black Fish, and Lobster were invited out to dinner.
Sat. July   9  7am   - 1 dive on the Maurice Tracey and 1 on the Hankins. Again, sea bass, fluke, and lobster were invited out.
Sat. July  23  7am  - 1 dive on the Reef Dry Dock and 1 on the Horseshoe Wreck.  Fluke were rescued!
Sat. Aug  6  7am    - 1 dive on the Cranford Ferry and 1 on Joe's Barge. Fluke and Sea Bass were invited to dinner.
Sat. Aug  20  7am  - 1 dive on the Ranger and 1 on the Bow Tanker. More fish were rescued from the briny deep.
Sat. Sept 10  7am  - 1 dive on the Rump and 1 on the Cranford Ferry. Fluke captured!
Sat. Sept  24  7am  - Cancelled due to sea conditions.
