IDENT -a- KiD: Welcome

Tuesday, January 27
The Suffolk County Police Athletic League and District Attorney Spota are proud to announce a Child Safety Program called Ident-a-Kid.

The purpose of this program is to provide parents with vital information concerning their children. In addition to a current photograph of your child the Ident-a-kid package contains a DNA sample/FINGERPRINT, sample/EMERGENCY CONTACT information and an EMERGENCY MEDICAL information form.

The design of the Ident-a-kid package is such that it is to be available at all times. Parents you will enjoy seeing your children’s picture on your refrigerator with the magnetic clear picture folder. This program is supported by Police Commissioner Richard Dormer and funded by District Attorney Thomas Spota through the use of asset forfeiture funds.

The goal of Suffolk County PAL is to offer this program to as many children in Suffolk County as possible. Each of the 18 legislators will be offered this program in the upcoming year. Suffolk County PAL is committed to the safety and well being of our children.

Last year Suffolk County PAL reached out to nearly 25,000 kids in
Suffolk County through our sports and recreational programs. The
goal of PAL is to provide kids with an opportunity to develop into
responsible adults.

Ident-a-Kid is available on Thursday evenings from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the lobby of Police Headquarters in Yaphank. For information please contact the Suffolk County Police Athletic League at (631)852-6109.

Thank you
