WE NEED VOLUNTEERS
Stoney Creek Optimist Little league is operated solely by the help of volunteers.
The majority of help comes from the parents of the little leaguers, but you don't need to be a parent to volunteer your time!
There are numerous areas where Scoll can use help. Coaching, umpiring, field maintenance, fundraising, and events coordination are just a few of the areas where you can show off your skills!
Lend a hand in support of Stoney Creek youth by volunteering a small portion of your time. The experience is rewarding! You will maximize the quality experience young players will have in the up-coming 2010 season..

Just a Little Boy
He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast;
The bases are loaded; the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him; he stands alone;
A hit at this moment, would send the team home.
The ball nears the plate, he swings and he misses;
There’s a groan from the crowd, some boos and hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, “Strike out the bum.”
Tears fill his eyes; the game’s no longer fun.
Remember, he’s just a little boy who stands alone.
So open your heats and give him a break,
For it’s moments like this, a man you can make.
Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget
