SCOLL ALUMNI REUNION
Remember when the weather started to get warm and you couldn’t wait to get back down to the ball park for another great season of baseball, friends and community spirit. The time has come for us to get back together and reminisce about those times, and the games and the camaraderie that was and is still such a large part of the Stoney Creek community.
On Friday July 17, 2009 Stoney Creek Optimist Little League is asking all former players, coaches and volunteers to attend the Stoney Creek Optimist Little League Alumni Reunion. This a fantastic opportunity to return to their former stomping grounds, see old friends and teammates and enjoy some great baseball as Stoney Creek hosts the opening games of the 2009 Major District Championship. The road to the Little League World Series starts here. Games will start at 3:30 pm with last year's two finalists, High Park taking on Erindale followed by Your own Stoney Creek team playing Oakville at 6:30 pm. and the night will come to an end with the 8:30 pm game between Dundas and Ancaster. The winner of this tournament represents District 1 at the Ontario Little League Provincials.
Steve Bagnell, President of SCOLL, and Bob Macdonald, District Administrator for District 1, will be guests on The Glenn Allen Show this coming Saturday July 11th on TALK820 to discuss the SCOLL reunion, the 2009 Major District Tournament and the 2010 Canadian Little League Championships. COACHES MUST REPORT SCORES
All SCOLL coaches must email in their scores to SCOLLscores@hotmail.com after every game. This will allow the league to have the standings updated as soon as possible on the website. Please note that any game that an umpire calls due to the score being out of reach, that is the score that is recorded as the final even if allowed to play an extra inning.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS
Stoney Creek Optimist Little league is operated solely by the help of volunteers.
The majority of help comes from the parents of the little leaguers, but not you don't need to be a parent to volunteer your time!
There are numerous areas where Scoll can use help. Coaching, umpiring, field maintenance, fundraising, and events coordination are just a few of the areas where you can show off your skills!
Lend a hand in support of Stoney Creek youth by volunteering a small portion of your time. The experience is rewarding! You will maximize the quality experience young players will have in the up-coming 2009 season..
