To all patriot parents. Sandy Football is growing in popularity as you read this. This is going to bring about many more college scouts taking a look at our sons for scholarships. We have a great deal of talent that can go on to the next level and play football and get a free education. If you were around the practice field this spring, you would have noticed many more scouts present than in past seasons. This is a very good thing for you and your son. Coach Walker has really stepped up his role in trying to get our kids a good look. We have a ton of talented players that can play at all levels of collegete football; divisions IA, IAA, and 2, and so on. Just don't leave it up to Coach Walker alone. He is always busy working with the team. If I may suggest, you must get involved and be active yourself. Let Coach Walker continue to help, but you need to get proactive and get your son's name out there to the schools of choice. Make contact, get your hand on game footage, prepare to send out DVDs of your son, etc. You should not have to spend a great deal of money to do this. The more kids that get scholarships the better it is for our Coaches, Parents, School, Community, and of course our sons. The goal shoould be to secure a scholarship for EVERY player that contributes to the success of Sandy Creek Football. It's touch being a student athlete and the reward should be an opportunity to go to college on a scholarship if that player chooses to. Our school needs to continue to become the place to get a great education with a large pool of talent for colleges to pull from.
To the Sandy Creek Players I say DREAM BIG! If you want to be State Champs, then DREAM IT!
D-You must be Daring. Dare to be the best. Dare to become great.
R-Be RELENTLESS in your pursuit of Success. Never stop forging towards acheiving your dream.
E-Do it with Excellence. Make everything you do excellent. People don't succeed if they do not perform at an excellent level.
A-Abandon all other ways and do what your coaches are asking you to do with the right Attitude. Success only comes 1 way; by doing it correctly each and every time.
M-Mindset-you must have the correct mindset that I will win, I will be successful, I will achieve my goals, I will listen, I will perform with excellence. Make up your Mind up now that you will live out your DREAMS. Never think, say, or listen to anything that follows CAN'T. Develop a CAN-DO/WILL-DO mindset. Just Believe in yourself.
Let's go CREEEEEEEK and Get it Done!!!! |

Congratulations to Chris & Mike Spaulding. I can't be anymore prouder of my two little brothers and all of hard work they put into this past season...To the entire Sandy Creek family: I attended my first game last season from Jacksonville and although the Patriots fell short of victory in the playoffs I enjoyed every minute of my trip. Thanks for the hospitality and I will see you all during this upcoming season...To Mike Spaulding, Stay focus and remember, once that whistle is blown it's pure caos until the whistle is blown again, make them think twice about running your way...Let's Go Patriots!!!!

The other distinction between players with high and low RBBA numbers is often offensive line. Like a running back’s DVOA, RBBA makes no attempt to separate a back from the quality of his blockers. If a quality running back is running into a lot of "outs" but usually runs for a long gain when he gets a "hit," that is often a player who is often stuck with a short gain because his offensive line couldn’t block well but manages to avoid lots of tacklers when he gets through the initial hole.

Football has one objective-to get to the end zone-and two ways to achieve that, by gaining yards and getting first downs. These two goals need to be balanced to determine a player's value or a team's performance. All the yards in the world aren't useful if they all come in eight-yard chunks on third-and-10.
On first down, a play is considered a success if it gains 45 percent of needed yards; on second down, a play needs to gain 60 percent of needed yards; on third or fourth down, only gaining a new first down is considered success.

CreekAlum ... The list of college players comes from Coach Walker. It is the policy of the coaching staff to include in the list of college players only those who completed four years of college football, or are currently on rosters. I assume the 2003 players you named did not complete their college eligibility. (If this is in error, please contact Coach Walker, and he will get the corrections to me). As for college players before 1999, it is not a lack of respect. It is due ot a lack of information left from coaches prior to Coach Rodney Walker.

Why does the class of 2003 get no respect with players that went on to play college football? Stephen Lawson, Kieth Rooks, Jeffrey Robinson? The same goes for players from the classes of 2001 and before. Not only did Sandy Creek have numerous players go on to play college footall, those classes also include the likes of Jabari Holloway who played in the NFL. It is a lack of respect to the players who laid the foundation for Sandy Creek. I hope that this can be fixed. Thanks

Please give me a call. I talked with someone at picture day about getting an electronic copy of the softball team's picture to add to our website. Thanks!
