Game 3

Out of all the games in the series, this was the biggest battle.  Sinclair starter Stephen Holland went down early with an injury in the 3rd inning and Brock Trimbur came in relief.  Trailing 4-1, the Tartans fought back to make it a 4-3 game after scoring a run in the top of the 6th.  Lakeland answered though with a pair of doubles and extended their lead to 6-3.  Jon Lowe continued his hot streak with a leadoff single and Blake Hall reached on an error.  After a Taylor Neal strikeout, Joe Ford drew a walk to load the bases.  Austin Downing hit a deep ball to right that was caught for the second out of the inning but scored the runner from third.  With two outs and still trailing by two, Dan Lawrence was hit by the pitch to load the bases again.  Drew Williams then drilled what would have been the game tying single up the middle but it hit off the pitcher and rolled toward second base.  Another run scored and bases remained loaded.  That brought up the Columbian Crusher, Darwin Argumedo, and Gato Grande delivered another huge base hit to left scoring two and giving the Pride the lead.  Ryan Carter closed the door in the 7th for the save and the comeback was complete.

Game 4

Few knew about what was going on in the middle of the 7th inning but Corey, three of his coaches, and five pitchers on the bench.  Johnson had allowed a run to score in the 6th but still had not given up a hit.  The offense once again did their part scoring in five of the seven innings and the score was 11-1 after the top of the 7th.  In the bottom half, Johnson hit the first batter but recorded two fly outs to move one out away.  The next hitter pulled a groundball down the line that was knocked down by a diving Matt Sullivan, who then threw a bullet across the diamond just in time to nail the runner at first.  This was Johnson's first career no-hitter and the first conference no-hitter from a Sinclair pitcher in a very long time.
