Protect Our Nation's Youth
SCAA seeks to implant in the youth of the community ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence, so that they may be finer, stronger and happier youths who will grow to be good, clean, healthy adults. This will be reached by providing supervised competitive athletic games. The supervisors shall bear in mind at all times that the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or winning of games is secondary and that the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.
Each Spring and Fall, approximately 1,200 Youths between the ages of 4 1/2 and 16 play Softball or Baseball within the SCAA Organization. The SCAA operates a 12 field baseball complex off of Eason and Benefit Roads in Chesapeake, Virginia. Four of those fields are lighted. Due to the number of children particpating in the league and the financial, logistic and equipmental requirements, SCAA is always looking for ways to secure the necessary finances so it can effectively serve the children.
