LEAGUE AGE

For baseball divisions, this is the age attained by a participant as of April 30 of this year. For softball, this is the age attained on December 31 of last year. This is the factor used by Little League International, and thus South Burlington Little League, in determining the age bracket in which players will be placed during the season. ·   SKILLS CHECK (New this Year!): It is the intention of SBYBS to make the AAA league a bit more competitive with more emphasis on player development so as to better prepare players for National League.  Also, the SBYBS wants to do its best to ensure a balance of skilled players on each team.  To that end, all AAA registrants will be asked to attend a “skills check” in order to assist the league in creating balanced AAA teams.  Friend ‘play-with’ requests will continue to be considered in the team-making process but as the second priority rather than the first. The date, time and place of this skills check will be emailed at a later date.
